Jazz Classes
Just like jazz music is full of life and improvisation, jazz dance is full of energy and creativity. BYPC's jazz dance classes range for all ages and abilities to provide students with everything from introductory movement to advance technique. Students in these jazz dance classes at our Bedford, NH studio learn a wide variety of jazz styles that showcase how the genre of dance has evolved over the years and fits within different applications from music videos to Broadway shows.
Jazz I
ages 5-7
Jazz I is a focus on Jazz methods, skills and choreography. It is also a great introduction for students who are new to class. No experience needed just a desire to have fun dancing!

Ages 8-10
Students are introduced to the exciting art form of Jazz dance by learning various ways to move their bodies. Instruction is aimed at developing musicality, balance, muscular / aerobic endurance, flexibility, and proper body alignment. Dancers learn forms of Jazz including pop/funk, Broadway style, and lyrical expression. Choreography is broken down into a series of 8 counts, which provides a fun and rewarding experience for each dancer.

Ages 11-13

Jazz V
by invitation only
Intermediate/advanced jazz class. Instruction is aimed at developing musicality, balance, muscular / aerobic endurance, flexibility, and proper body alignment. Dancers learn various forms of Jazz. All skills are taught progressively and honor each student's ability and age. Students are exposed to a broad selection of music to impart an appreciation of song and dance as art forms. Ballet V is required*
